Mid Fulton Democrats are suspending monthly meetings until the third Thursday in August, following the Georgia Democratic primary elections. Until that time, we urge our members to support the primary candidates of their choice. Beginning in August, we will focus on getting the Democratic slate of candidates elected.
Prior to resuming our meetings, we may engage in some voter registration activities. In that case, we will contact our members via email with the details and opportunities to help us register voters for the 2010 elections.
Beginning in August, we meet on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the North Avenue room at Manuel's Tavern, 602 North Highland Avenue, Atlanta, 30307.
Who are the Mid Fulton Democrats? The Mid-Fulton Democrats are a diverse group of people who strive to create a large, dynamic community of concerned citizens charged with communicating to the people of Atlanta the need to get educated about political issues affecting our lives.
Get Engaged. It is important to learn about the issues, but civil society requires more: active participation in discussion and debate. We provide the opportunity for you to meet local elected officials and candidates running for local office and to express your concerns to them. A democracy depends upon the active participation of its citizens. Join us and make sure the issues you care about are heard.
